- Our eyes are much more sensitive to dark values than bright ones
- This difference of perception depending on the amount of light can be called non-linear. All light is not always treated the same by our eyes/brain
- Keep in mind that you are biased, and need to be careful when working with color. Darken bright images to make sure to properly see all the detail that can be present
