Ignore and replace

SUMMARY

Copy

      • The Copy node literally ignore the B input and uses the A input. By default, it only affects the alpha channel

      • You can therefore separate branches between color and alpha, with a strong safety net

Shuffle

      • The Shuffle node copies any channel from any layer of its B input into any channel of any layer of its output

      • If information existed in a channel that has information copied into, it will be overwritten

      • You can connect a second input, A, and select any channel of any layer from it to copy into the output of the Shuffle

Differences and similarities

      • The function of both nodes is pretty similar, copying information from a or multiple channels into other ones

      • It is the interface that varies, making one quicker to use than the other depending on the need
