For color, prefer Merge
For color, prefer Merge
SUMMARY
- Keep in mind the concept of symmetry vs asymmetry. Usually asymmetrical operations will have their counterpart, enabling you to have the same result with switched inputs
- The Merge node is ideal to blend colors together, as is blends the whole RGBA layer by default
- Remember by heart the three fundamental operations: Stencil, Mask, and Over (or Under, its counterpart)
- Keep in mind the existence of the Disjoint-Over operation, used similarly to Over, that fills a gap in case of two layers that cut each other perfectly
